workshops

A table with a view animates workshops for the understanding, discovery and reading of urban space and new contemporaneous landscapes.

School workshops:

An introductory approach to architecture and city reading is proposed.  The workshops adapt to the different ages of the students, starting from the youngest (4 years) and reaching high school students (18 years). The themes can vary from describing the job of an architect and the different disciplines related to it (drawing, construction, history, etc.), to developing a spatial perception of the classroom, the habitat, the neighborhood, and the city. Workshops end with the production of an artefact narrating the spatial experience.

University workshops:

An enlarged vision of architecture & urban culture, relating it them to other disciplines, aims at giving the students tools to tackle with different aspects of the urban field. The workshops focus on 1. writings about cities, places, buildings and landscapes, 2. Mapping, urban compositions, 3. Connecting spatial features to different cultural disciplines such as art, literature, etc. The workshops conclude with the production of a spatial narrative in the student’s media of choice.
